SRLP is founded and managed by Sangeeta Rana. Sangeeta is a corporate lawyer with over 2 decades in law. She has diverse expertise in cross border mergers and acquisitions, private equity/ venture capital investments, joint ventures and joint developments, corporate advisory, commercial, banking and finance, technology and media laws, data privacy, intellectual property and employment laws and start-up advisory. On the transactions side, she has structured and negotiated complex and high profile investment and acquisition transactions for marquee clients. Prior to founding Sangeeta Rana Law Practice (or SRLP), she spent 12 years at Nishith Desai Associates co-heading the Bangalore office, and was a Leader of the corporate and securities, mergers and acquisitions and private equity practices. Before her time at Nishith Desai Associates, Sangeeta worked with internationally reputed law firms, Luthra and Luthra and Dhir & Dhir Associates, where her practice areas included insolvency law, commercial law, banking and finance, arbitration and corporate litigation.
Sangeeta loves teaching and sharing her experiences, particularly in the VC space. She has been a regular speaker at the training initiatives of VCCircle.
Sangeeta holds an Economics Degree (Bachelors) from Hindu College, Delhi University and an LL.B. from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Anjali Bhaskar
ASSOCIATE
Anjali graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts- Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from the School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. Her experience and interest include data privacy, e-commerce, digital payments, fintech, commercial contracts, trademark and copyright laws.
During her time as an undergraduate student, Anjali contributed to the publication of a watch report by the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative. She also had the opportunity to be a part of the research team for the second edition of the Global Sales and Contract Law published by the Oxford University Press.
Anjali is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and enjoys painting and listening to music during her free time.
